Mea Yanai (梁 (やな) 井 (い) メア, Yanai Mea^?) is a 91st Tōtsuki Generation student and a former member of Central.

Appearance[]

Mea is a slim girl with flowing, pink hair that is styled in a side ponytail with a pink-striped ribbon. She has gleeful black eyes (dark violet in the anime). She also wears a modified chef's uniform with pink accents and instead of regular pants, she wears a short skirt with a ribbon. She is also seen wearing a pink wristband.

Personality[]

Mea is mostly seen with a smirk on her face. She is also capable of showing her confidence in the skills of her colleagues. However, she isn't above making fun of them if they do something completely embarrassing. As shown when she mocked Etsuya Eizan for losing to a first year student, even though, ironically, she also preceded to lose to a first year.

History[]

Mea enrolled in Tōtsuki Culinary Academy as part of the 91st Generation. As a second year student, Mea completed the Tōtsuki Friendship and Rapport Training Camp and Stagiaire events in her first year.

Cooking Style[]

Mea's cooking style has yet to be shown. However, as a member of Central, she is considered to be a capable chef by Azami Nakiri. She also seems to have a considerable amount of skill with grains, or, most specifically, rice. Given how she was chosen to face off against the Grains RS leader and Ikumi Mito representing Don RS. (Donburi is a rice bowl dish)

Etymology[]

Mea's surname Yanai means "weir, fish trap, beam, girder" (梁) (yana) and "well, mine shaft, pit" (井) (i).
