Anime and Manga Differences[]
- In a flashback of the episode, Mana Nakiri compares the first dish she tasted from Azami to "a pack of mountain gorillas that forgot how to drum from despair of their hot spring being lukewarm. What an absolutely awful dish". In the manga, Mana said that "the taste is like a mountain gorilla drumming to forget its heavy sadness. It's a seriously terrible dish. It lacks passion".
- In the manga, the relationship between Asahi and Azami isn't discovered until a year after the BLUE. In the anime, Senzaemon has already done some digging to confirm it at Mana's request before the battle between Sōma and Erina, and as a result, Azami found out about his connection with Asahi earlier.
- Besides, in the manga, this news is only reported to Azami by Mana and Anne, while in the anime, Senzaemon and Jōichirō are also present during this conversation.
- In the manga, Senzaemon talked about his plan to save his daughter and his granddaughter alone with Azami. In the anime, Senzaemon does it alone with Gin Dōjima.
