Sōma Yukihira[]
Eishi was impressed with Sōma's culinary skill and wanted him to become his right hand man. Sōma refused, but accepted Eishi's challenge of an unofficial Shokugeki, the result of which, if Eishi won, Sōma would join central and become Eishi's assistant, whereas a victory for Sōma would result in Eishi surrendering his First Seat on the Elite Ten Council.
Eishi was victorious by a wide margin, though he ultimately decided to call off the wager, viewing Sōma's free spirited cooking style as a potential liability.
Azami Nakiri[]
Azami was the first person to ever criticize Eishi's cooking, filling a void in his soul that had been pestering him for a long time. Eishi developed a level of respect for Azami and aided in his taking over of Tōtsuki.
Elite Ten Council[]
Rindo Kobayashi[]
Rindo is Eishi's oldest known friend, if not his best friend. Eishi being a nervous perfectionist with Rindo being more erratic and brazen, this lovely pair proves that opposites attract and that there is always something to learn from our peers. Whether she criticizes Eishi's nervous behaviour and tries desperately to make him more assertive or just playfully talks to him, Rindo shows that she deeply cares for Tsukasa, even aiming to become the second seta simply because she knew he wanted the first. After graduating, Rindo takes Eishi with her to explore the world.
Satoshi Isshiki[]
Eishi has a modest level of respect for Isshiki, even offering him a chance to return to Central during the Régiment de Cuisine. Though Isshiki adamantly refused.
Terunori Kuga[]
Eishi does not think much of Kuga. During Eishi's second year of high school, Kuga's first year, the two of them had a Shokugeki. A few days later, Eishi did not even remember Kuga at all.
