Asahi Saiba Vs. Sōma Yukihira is a cooking duel between Asahi Saiba and Sōma Yukihira.
Prologue[]
Since their return from Onsen, Soma and the other members of the Council of Ten are asking the one who calls "Saiba". Erina can not believe it could be Joichiro, so she asks Soma to call her to make sure. During the call, he reveals that it is his other son before hanging up. A few days after this revelation, Hisako tells Erina that the new teacher has arrived. It comes under the name of Suzuki and offers snacks to students to win their sympathies. Soma and Megumi arrived at that time and Suzuki entered them thinking they were Lambda students, but a student of the class here present the two students which attracted Asahi's attention to Soma, to whom he proposed a Shokugeki that Soma accepted.

Aftermath[]
Sōma loses, but Asahi decides to let Sōma keep his knife, saying that knife is only used to troubleshoot. Furthermore, Soma wants his revenge that Asahi will not give him. Some time after this duel, during a girls' party, they spoke of the ideal boyfriend, and Erina described some traits for Sōma. After this, she announces that the next exam will soon take place.
